Prof Dzahene-Quarshie is an Associate Professor at the Department of Modern Languages of the University of Ghana. She has lectured at the University for over twenty years and has published extensively in the field of linguistics with special reference to Kiswahili. She has served on several boards and committees of the University, including the Academic Board, the Business and Executive Committee, and the Finance and General Purposes Committee.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Swahili from the University of Ghana, and a Ph.D. in African Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She is currently the Ghanaian Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Ghana.
