The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has noted the circulation of false information regarding a recruitment process for a “2025 General Population and Housing Census”. The information, including the link (https://tinyurl.com/GH-CENSUS-2025), is NOT authorized by GSS and should be disregarded. GSS wishes to clarify that official Population and Housing censuse is conducted every 10 years, in line with international best practices. The most recent Population and Housing Census was conducted in 2021, and therefore the next is not due for 2025. Consequently, GSS has not announced any recruitment for a census exercise. Any official communication on recruitment will be published only through GSS’s official channels. GSS disclaims any responsibility for any losses, damages, or inconveniences resulting from engagement with such unauthorized schemes, and any individuals found behind such fraudulent acts will be subject to legal action. We urge the public to be vigilant against such misinformation and to verify all recruitment-related information directly from GSS.
