Bribery and Corruption Problems in Ghana

Bribery and corruption are major problems in Ghana. The World Bank estimates that bribery and other forms of corruption cost the country five percent of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) each year. Ghana has made significant strides in the fight against bribery and corruption. This is evident in the enactment of the Criminal Offences Act, of 1960 (Act 29), which criminalises bribery and other related offences.
